Beginning Steps of Doing Business on IG - Part 2

Uncategorized Nov 12, 2020

49% of people who are Millennials and Generation X already say they follow brands and companies on Instagram. 78% of Millenials will actually go and search for a brand, a company, or a product on Instagram before they go to the company’s website. So before somebody finds your website, before someone is hitting Bing or the Yellow Pages, before someone is on Yelp, they are looking on Instagram. That is why we’re going to discuss the importance of hashtags. This is why hashtags actually work.

For example, I may be looking for a photographer in Atlanta (I’m guilty of doing this all the time),  I’m looking for a photographer in Charlotte because I want to schedule a photoshoot while I’m there, I literally searched the hashtag “Charlotte photography”, hashtag “photographers in Charlotte”, hashtag “photos in Charlotte. I searched that so I can start seeing and finding photographers that I could contact to...

Beginning Steps of Doing Business on IG - Part 1

Uncategorized Nov 02, 2020

You may be surprised to hear that the average American spends about 53 minutes on Instagram each day.  Furthermore, the average American using Instagram who is between 19 and 35 admits to checking Instagram 3 times a day, and of that group, 70% admit to using Instagram while driving in their car.  I’m not surprised, I see it all the time. It happens, this is real life. I always tell you that the number 1 rule of marketing is to be where your customers are, get in front of them, and many of them are on the ground.

There are 92% of millennials, baby boomers, in generation Y, that have a Facebook account, but the daily usage isn’t the same. 51% of millennials admit to using Instagram every day. However, on Facebook you may have noticed, the user demographic is older. On Facebook, you have a lot of “boomers” who are 50-65. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, but depending on who you’re trying to reach, your content, and your...

Ways To Not Waste Money On Facebook Ads Part 3

Narrow your audience. I was running ads for, at least two years before I figured this out. Your numbers matter! While you're putting an ad together on Facebook, if you look at the right side, it always tells you how many people the ad is going to reach.

At one point, I had been taking a lot of webinars and courses and signed up for subscription programs and other things like that. Then I started getting interested in drop-shipping. Have any of you ever been to like a drop-in presentation? Well, all these different people teach drop-shipping, and they're like, "Look at this!", "There are 28 million people who fit this demographic". "You're never gonna run out of customers." It made sense to me at the time because it sounded logical and because I didn't know any better, but that's not how it truly works. When you have an audience that is filled with over about 5 million people, you're going to have a very hard time making sales. This is not just a job. This is...

Ways To Not Waste Money On Facebook Ads Part 2

Native images and native videos. Sometimes Facebook will let you pass if you have a little more than 20% text on your image, but most of the time images that have very little text do much better on Facebook. In many of my ads, we don't put any text on the ad at all. I've tested many times doing images with text versus images, without text. Our results are a thousand times better without text because it seems like we get more exposure to where we're actually using an image. That's closer to the way that Facebook is designed. Even though Facebook charges advertisers, they don't want the end-user to be bombarded with ads and campaigns and sponsored posts, etc... So anytime you're running an ad, use the ad like Facebook intends so that it's like a more like a traditional post. Not only is removing the text going to give your ad a boost, but it's also going to give it more preference. Sometimes Facebook will let you slide with the 20% text rule, (You can sneak it in sometimes, inside the...

Ways To Not Waste Money On Facebook Ads Part 1

Once you know your audience, you don't have to test, but in the beginning, you don't know your audience yet. Therefore, you need to always test your audience. I mean always. You shouldn't spend more than $5 a day when you're testing your audience. $15 should be what it is. a maximum of $5 a day for three days. Sometimes the ads flop within the first 24 hours and you don't have to run the ad for the other two days, but you need to get in the habit of testing audiences and images, copy and testing the landing pages, and all those things before you go run a full-fledged ad. A lot of times, I'll see people that say, "You know, I spent a hundred dollars on my Facebook ad and it didn't work" and I think to myself, "Why did you even spend a hundred dollars on the ad?" It's simply because you've never been taught to test the ad. So always test your ad first. Even changing up the age groups will amaze you.

When I first started testing for "No Skinny Girls Allowed" (I keep picking on...

You put yourself in your customer's way when you make the mistake of trying to sell. This is what most people do. You guys can attest to this, when you have first met me, whether it came through an ad, a shout out, I targeted you or a live stream, I do not sell. I share and I teach my clients to share, not to sell. We accomplish this by putting together content that's informative, educational, entertaining or thought provoking. This type of content can answer a question for you, solve a problem, give you a perspective, etc. Create space for your audience by explaining a process, giving the steps. You can show people how to wear something by asking who wear it better or tell a joke and make them laugh. If you can do any...

5 Tricks to Sell A Bunch of Stuff Without Being Salesy Part 2

Uncategorized Jun 15, 2020

Do you know how easy it is to make sales? A lot of y'all are struggling with making sales, because you're trying to make people who don't care about your product, who don't care about your service, who don't really see a value or a benefit in it buy from you. You're trying to make them see values and benefits in it. That's exhausting!

For part two of tricks to sell a bunch of stuff without being salesy, we're diving head first into my super-secret sauce technique for drawing clients and customers to you.

You really need to try and figure out what level of assistance a client or customer is looking for. Everybody does not want the same thing. Some people want DIY solutions. Some people prefer an eBook. Some people want to be in a small group. Some people want to work with you one on one. Some people want to browse on their own. Some people want a personal shopper. Especially if you have physical products, let's say for example, a boutique.

If you have a...

You can have all the strategies, systems and funnels all day long, but they're not going to work if you don’t know how to sell. What's going to happen is you're going to generate a bunch of leads, but you're not going to be able to close the deal.

It’s very frustrating to be talking to people, speaking to people, seeing people engage with you, people visiting your site, seeing people slide in your DM’s, having people ask you for help or people call you on the phone. But some way, somehow for some reason, you can't get it to convert into a sale. And when I speak to a lot of small business owners, a lot of them will tell me that they have a fear that they don't want to come off as pushy or salesy.

So I thought that I would start sharing some tips and tricks with you guys on how you actually sell without having to be salesy and not having to chase down clients and customers to get people to work with you.

With that being said, now how do we...

How I went from $0 to Over $3M Live Streaming

My favorite thing about live streaming is it's one of the few ways that you literally can earn a million dollars. All you need is your phone and your face and you can actually make money! It doesn't matter what platform you go live on. I’m going to share with you what equipment I use to live stream and what software you'll need.

A lot of you feel like you have to have these full on amazing studios and ginormous backdrops. I want you to listen to me when I say this and this is whether you choose to live stream or not. If you're in here reading this, that means that you have a business or you desire to have a business or you are a side hustler. You're trying to create revenue for yourself. Content That Converts

When creating content, our job is to create posts that are going to encourage people to connect with us outside of our social media platforms. Whether that is through people joining your text messaging or email list or getting them to download your app.  The name of the game is being able to communicate with people on and off social media so that whenever you have something to share with them they will be interested.

Producing great content is key to beating Facebook and Instagram’s forever changing algorithms and advertising rules.

a lot of other broadcasters and business owners find that their sales and engagement suffer when social media changes its rules. However it doesn’t ever really bother me because I am consistent and my content is designed to drive people to connect with me outside of social media. If I want people to know I’m gonna be at this place or I’ll be going live at this time or come and hangout with me on someone...
